Work Experience

Are you interested in finding out more about The Arc and the way it works? This is a unique opportunity to work at Caterhams only arts centre and experience the many departments and roles which pull together to create a varied and exciting programme across this exciting venue.

We offer two one-week placements each year, one in May/June and one in October/November for students in Year 10 or 11. Your work experience will offer the opportunity to work in box office, marketing, front of house and to see shows from a technical point of view and from the auditorium! You will also be able to experience work in costume, make-up or set design too.

Applications for a work experience placement should be in the form of a letter outlining the courses that you're studying, your aspirations for the future, your reasons for choosing The Arc Caterham and what you hope to gain from your time here.

Must be over 15 years of age.

Arc Angels needed for 2012

We are recruiting NOW! Looking for bright, motivated and pro-active people, with a passion for the arts to join the ARC ANGELS.

The ARC ANGELS are a team of volunteers who get involved with operational and promotional activity at The Arc. This brand new scheme is crucial to helping run and promote day to day operations and events to help make The Arc a success.

What will you do as an ARC ANGEL?
* Become an ambassador for THE ARC CATERHAM.
* Take part in weird and wonderful publicity stunts (if you want to!).
* Write reviews, write blogs , or be on the radio promoting and discussing shows.
* Get the chance to preview shows.
* Have the opportunity to manage individual campaigns.
* Learn about the arts industry and arts marketing.
* Contribute your promotional ideas through regularly held focus groups and discussions.
